How to Match Your Center Cap

The fastest way to find the right replacement center cap is to match the complete molded or stamped part number on the back of your original cap. A logo, wheel size, or vehicle model by itself is not enough to confirm fitment.

Before you start

  • Park on a level surface and make sure the vehicle cannot move.
  • Use a non-marring trim tool when appropriate and protect the wheel finish.
  • If you are unsure how your cap releases, check the wheel manufacturer's instructions or ask a tire shop for help. Do not force the cap.

How to identify your center cap

  1. Remove one original cap. The useful identifiers are usually molded, stamped, printed, or cast into the back.
  2. Copy every character exactly. Include letters, numbers, hyphens, spaces, and suffixes. A one-character difference can point to a different cap.
  3. Search the complete number first. Enter the full identifier in the search box. If nothing appears, try the strongest letter-and-number group without guessing at unreadable characters.
  4. Compare both sides. Check the front design and the entire back, including the clip, tab, screw, or retaining-ring layout. Similar fronts can hide different attachment systems.
  5. Confirm the listing details. Review the part number, finish, condition, and package quantity. Some listings are for one cap and others are for a set.
  6. Stop when anything differs. Do not order a near match just because the logo or diameter looks right.

Photos that make identification easier

  • One straight-on photo of the complete front
  • One straight-on photo of the complete back
  • A close-up of every molded or stamped number
  • An angled photo showing all clips, tabs, screws, or rings
  • A ruler photo showing the outside diameter and overall depth

Use even light and keep the entire cap in frame. Take an extra close-up of any faint, scratched, or partly hidden character.

No readable part number?

Email the photos above to sales@thecentercapstore.com. Include the wheel brand if known and your order number if the question concerns an existing order. Support is provided by email only.

Important: Photo review helps narrow the catalog, but the original cap and the current product listing must agree before you order.
